On p.36 of Hecht, we learn that the Society ceased to exist in 1785 upon the death of its founder, Johann Ludwig Anton Rust (1721-1785).

A Schriften der Fürstlich-Anhaltischen Deutschen Gesellschaft
According to p.35 of Hecht, Rust (the leading member of the Society) gathered together some existing manuscript material into a third volume of the Schriften but in the end failed to find a publisher for it. From the placement of this note in Hecht's small monograph, one assumes that this occurred at some point between 1778 and 1781.
