This date of founding is supported on p.317 of
Jacob & Mijnhardt (1992), and by p.25 of
Van Schaik (1962).
A date of cessation of 1847 is supported by p.30 of
Van Schaik (1962).
According to p.30 of Van Schaik (1962),
in 1846, a number of people who had previously been involved with this
society became involved in the founding of the
Hollandsche Maatschappij van Landbouw (HMvL).
The latter Society came into being in 1847, and the former society
concluded its activities and ceded its possessions to the Amsterdam
section of the new society.
Because of this, the
Hollandsche Maatschappij van Landbouw (HMvL)
may be considered as the successor to the
Maatschappij ter Bevordering van den Landbouw te Amsterdam.
