1776	This date is supported by Crosnier, p.5. In 1820, June 15, the Classe d'Agriculture was formed (Crosnier, p.49). In 1822, two additional classes were formed: the Classe des Beaux Arts and the Classe d'Industrie (Crosnier, p.50). And in 1870 a special section devoted to Horologerie was formed (Crosnier, p.82), evidently within the Classe d'Industrie. Crosnier, p.85 notes that unlike its sister Classes, the Classe des Beaux Arts did not publish a Bulletin.

Chicago cat. has a record establishing this form as early as 1777: Mémoire sur l'acier by Jean-Jacques Perret (1730-1784) subtitled: ouvrage couronné par la Société des arts de Geneve, le 19 décembre 1777 (published 1779).
1778 - 1780	Société établie à Genève pour l'encouragement des Arts et de l'Agriculture = Société des Arts et de l'Agriculture	Its publications.
1792? - 1870?	Société pour l'Avancement des Arts	Its publications establish this name from 1819 - 1870. Crosnier, p.32 refers to a work establishing this form as early as 1792: Précis historique de la Société pour l'avancement des Arts; this work was edited in 1792 by Gabriel Cramer and printed by Bonnand but never published because of the political upheaval; it was relegated to the archives of the Society.

1787, Aug.4 - 1791, July   A1	Journal de Genève According to p.23 of Crosnier, on 1787, August 4, there appeared the first issue of a Journal de Genève (printed by Bonnet) which was sponsored by the Société des Arts de Genève and edited by several of its members. As it happens, there were several journals bearing this title, at least one of them existing contemporaneously with that sponsored by the Société. The only record that we have found that clearly and unambiguously refers to this title is the one at the Bibliot. Nat. France cat., which gives a cessation date of 1791, July. According to p.23 of Crosnier, this journal was their contact with the public, and contained many kinds of information, including astronomical and meteorological observations. [Bibliot. Nat.
