1783 or 1786	In Short History of the Society of Mining Professors, we read that the Societät der Bergbaukunde "had been formed in 1783 in Schemnitz (Banska Stiavnica), in what was then the Austro-Hungarian Empire, but is now in Slovakia." In a Wikipedia article entitled Sklené Teplice, we read that the Society had been founded in 1786 and ceased in 1791. And in another Wikipedia article entitled Friedrich Wilhelm Heinrich von Trebra, we read that "Trebra founded a society for mining science, the Societät der Bergbaukunde in 1786."
