According to an article in the Store Norske Leksikon entitled
Christian Sommerfelt,
the Topographisk Selskab for Norge was founded in 1791 in Christiania (present-day Oslo), and the Society published the
Topographisk Journal for Norge.
An article in the
Norsk arkivforum
gives the Society name as
Corresponderende Topographisk Selskab for Norge, and indicates that it was founded in 1791 in Christiania.
We have found no trace of its existence past 1808 (the date of the last published volume of its Journal).
