1606	The following historical information has been drawn largely from a Wikipedia article at Académie florimontane. Over the course of the winter of 1606-1607 (although there is some debate over this year), the Académie Florimontane was founded in Annecy by two illustrious Savoyards: Antoine Favre and François de Sales, In 1610, however, the Académie dis not survive the departure of Favre for Chambéry. In January 1851, several notable Savoyards resurrected the society under the name Association Florimontane. In 1911, it took the former name of Académie Florimontane.
