1804	According to Maurandi (2000), p.107, the Society was founded in July of 1804 as the Reale Società Agraria ed Economica di Cagliari. Maurandi (2000), p.113 indicates that the Royal Society formally ceased to exist in 1862 with the founding of the Camera di Commercio di Cagliari, which absorbed the functions of the Royal Society.
