1843	According to a Wikipedia article Koninklijke Maatschappij voor Dierkunde Antwerpen, the society was established on 1843, July 21 as Société de zoologie d'Anvers. The following year, 1844, King Leopold I allowed the society to use the royal designation, and its name became Société royale de zoologie d'Anvers. It is not clear when the society began to use the Flemish form of its name, Koninklijke Maatschappij voor Dierkunde Antwerpen.
