Catalogue records in both the Zeitschriftendatenbank and the Royal Danish Lib. cat. list the following journal publication: Ugeskrift for laeger and indicate that its corporate author is Almindelige Danske Laegeforening, and that the journal had a starting publication date of 1839 - namely 18 years prior to the founding of the Almindelige Danske Laegeforening. One possible interpretation of this situation is that the journal in question began publication in 1837 by some entity other than the Almindelige Danske Laegeforening - but was brought under the wing of the later at some point after the founding of the association. Calatogue records suggest that the association was founded as Den Almindelige Danske Laegeforening = Den Almindelige Danske Lægeforenin and has retained this name to the present day. The English name Danish Medical Association also appears in catalogue records.
