This article examines the history of the Churpfälzische Physikalisch-Ökonomische Gesellschaft (founded 1769; we have no trace of its existence past 1792). NOTE: It may apppear on the surface that the very title of this article confirms the existence of the Society as late as 1804. The fact is that the Library served both the Society and the agricultural School that it founded, which latter existed past the year 1800.
